What I Wore - Denim Done Right

I know some of you will hate me when I say this...
I am done with my Christmas shopping and wrapping. I finished on Tuesday.
Once I finished it changed my life.

I had been running around in workout wear for days and now that I was going to venture into the world for civilized things like lunch with my husband and drinks with a girlfriend, I felt as though I could dress a little better too.

Shirt - J. Crew
Jeans - Jimi by Elizabeth and James
Flats - Missoni for Target
Belt - J. Crew
Necklace - J. Crew
Bracelets - J. Crew, Nadri, Hermes
Watch - Michael Kors

If you can believe it, this was the first outing for my Missoni flats. I do not know why it took me so long to wear them, but since it was back up to 70 degrees here in SoCal, it was the perfect time.

It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas GIVEAWAY!

I could not believe my luck when I was given the chance to style a wreath for The Christmas Tree Market.

I had been looking for a white wreath but nothing I had found was wow-ing me. Then I saw theirs.

Nothing could have made me smile more.

When it arrived on my doorstep it was so pretty that I almost did not even want to add anything to it. I finally decided on my vision. White and Silver with a good dose of glitter and shine.

A few ornaments. The right bow. The perfect wreath hanger.

Voila!

Who Loves Me?

OK.

So I know I already posted about this Tory Burch jacket.

I still love it.

Unfortunately, I have now tried it on and my desire has deepened.

Picture via Tory Burch

While killing a little time in Neiman Marcus the other day, I spotted it on the sale rack.

I then tricked myself into the game of "If you put it on you might hate it and never think about it again."

WRONG.

I slipped the size 8 on my monkey armed body and fell in love. Even worse, somebody else told me they loved me in it.

See the guy carrying the orange jacket in the background?

Well, right after I took this picture he walked by while talking to another sales associate and said, "Who makes your jacket? It is stunning and I love it."

The sales girl he was with then proceeded to inform him that they carried it and it was Tory Burch.

*Ugh*

I sadly put it back on the rack only to stroke it every time I walked by it.

So, the real question is, "Who loves me enough to buy it for me?"

Stones and Scallops

This dress has been haunting me for weeks now.

I am in love.

Stones. Scallops. Stunning.

It reminds me of a short version of Marion Cotillards 2008 Oscars dress.

What I Wore - Black, Boots and Bows

Yesterday we went to a charity event for work, but I also had to continue to run around to client meetings and the framers afterwards, so I needed an ensemble that could perform double duty. On top of that it was freezing, but the ballroom where the even was being held was surely going to be plenty warm.

Luckily, I remembered this dress and these tights and my dilemma solved itself.

Dress - H&M
Tights - Roxy
Boots - Tory Burch
Necklace - J. Crew
Ring - Kenneth Jay Lane

BTW, are you liking my globe on the coffee table in my den?

I had to move it in here now that our Christmas tree is out, but I am sort of loving its temporary home!

On another happy note, my hair decided it would cooperate as well.
On a Monday no less!

I love these bow tights. I got them on super sale for $3 last winter.

I was so happy with how they looked once I pulled them on in the morning I could not believe I had waited so long to wear them. At about ten o'clock I promptly ripped a HUGE hole in the top of them.

$3 for one wear is ok, but I really wish I could have at least worn them twice.

Recap of a Busy Week and Weekend

Last week flew by as well as this weekend.

It started with packing for a trip to our clients home in Arizona.

Poor Dorothy...she does not like it when the suitcase comes out.

Packing the essentials:

Jeans, Leggings, Mary Janes, flats, and my favorite striped Equipment blouse

After the quick flight here is where we ended up...

Dressed for a dinner out

The next day we tried this new spot. Uh-mazing. I must go back.

We always manage to fit in some shopping when we are on our work trips.

I wanted to take these Diors home with me.

By the time I returned home the weather had finally changed and the leaves had fallen.

Over the weekend we also took our family Christmas photos with Dana Grant Photography.

Dorothy wanted to wear pearls, but I told her I already was.

Lastly, I put a few more finishing touches on the holiday decor around our house.

Happy Monday!
